@Fernbap: Until recently, Get Free Web Designs was just a place for designers to submit design templates. We only recently added the forum a week or two ago, so things are still pretty new.

However, after reading your recent reply, I think we've pretty much got this all covered in our Web Design section of the forum that contains the following sub category sections:

GFWD Templates: Use this forum to discuss anything related to web design templates downloaded or submitted to Get Free Web Designs.

HTML, XHTML and CSS: This forum is for discussion of HTML, CSS stylesheets, usability testing and principles, graphic design, and accessibility.

Search Engine Optimization: A forum for talking about anything SEO related.

Programming:In this forum you can discuss installation of web scripts as well as programming in PHP, Perl, Python, C, Java, Javascript, and more.

When something needs to be discussed that we don't have a category for, it can go into the general forum. We will of course add sections as needed, but for now we need to get some use out of what we already have before more gets added.

I tried not using MS Office and tried using OpenOffice but OO caused more problems then it fixed. Especially in Word 2007, I haven't found anything that compares to it in features and ease of use.

strange that you have had problems with it. I have been using Open Office for several years with 0 problems.

Same with me. Actually I more and more often switch to Open Office since I find the new user interface of office 2007 a bit confusing sometimes.

Regarding the original topic … I think open source is quite a wide range of products. If at all I would limit this subject to open source html editors and open source graphic programs since both belong to templates somehow. Maybe a section "how to edit open source templates with open source tools" could cover this?
