It hasn't gone anywhere. It's right there to the right of the forum search. Look straight up from the posts and slightly to the right.

I just finished logging in as a "non admin" user type of account and the new / recently updated topics menu is still present at the top next to the forum search link, so if you don't see it OpenDesigns, I'm not sure why at this point.

I remembered seeing a section with the latest topics, not a drop-down list.
