Hi PHP Gurus,
can anybody build with this script a small CMS with a login page and saving in flat files?

wouldn't really want to build a CMS, but if you have a CMS that already writes to flat files, I'd consider modding it.

Hey Wolfram…..haven't had much time to look at this as I've been working on some other things. However, I very recently did something similar for sNews & I'm sure I could reuse some of the code. Looks great Bob. Of course it's not necessary to use the script I suggested. Yours will do the job as well. There are many EIP sripts around, but I wonder, why nearly nobody has build a CMS with this funtion until yet. If I would be a better PHP programmer, I already would have done it.
BTW: I found a great CMS a few days ago, which is really awesome. If somebody is interested, have look at GetSimple CMS.

As a fellow FFF (flat file freak) like yourself from way back I need to tell you I'm a WordPress freak now… sorry. WP has a a great ajax front end editor if you feel like coming across to the darkside for a while
