Hello,
Now that I finished designing a website for a client, they wanted some "minor changes" to the design, which I feel pulling it down and got this to a debate. So I would like to hear some opinions, which version looks better:
Here is a screenshot of the initial version:

And here is the current version:
http://www.onedesigns.com/sand…../conectys/ (view in Firefox 3.6 please)
The only significant difference are the buttons from the top. I felt the red background was giving the website color and the client said they were too aggressive and opted for a gray background. I don't like it, since the whole color scheme is gray.
So what do you think?
Thank you

Both are nice! But I think the client has a point when they say the red menu background is aggressive. Because having them in red grabs all the attention from the main contents.
Great design, btw.

Thanks.
I personally find red buttons to be appealing and make you wanna click 'em and they are the main target of the front page. I just needed a second opinion as the gray buttons seemed to be kinda sad but i think they're fine if you still find them appealing. I hope I'll just find a nice combination of color/background as I definitely don't like the red text.
Glad you like it " />

To give them a little more interest you could do the same 2 tone effect as on the red buttons only in grey and maybe extend the drop shadow a little. They seem a little flat and uninteresting at the moment.
P.S. Your tweet bubble doesn't always top-align with the other 2 bubble when it rolls over.

I like the one with the red buttons better. Otherwise the buttons just seem to fade away.
However, the client always wins
