I was curious…..what program do you use to create a .pdf document, and does it contain templates to personalize?

I usually create what I need in Word or Publisher, then because I have the Adobe suite installed, I can then save it as a .pdf. What sort of personalized things are you wanting to do?

Nothing special I want to create. I always like how clear and neat many .pdf documents looks, so I wanted to teach myself how to do it. I have tried creating things using open office, but when I save it as a .pdf, it always looks a little fuzzy.

That's strange that Open Office makes the pdf's fuzzy. In Word, they are super clean. I will try it with Open Office myself and see if maybe there is a setting or something that needs to be adjusted and let you know.

I have no problems with pdfs created with Open Office.
But Len, you can also use pdf24 (http://en.pdf24.org/) for saving documents in Open Office as a pdf. With pdf24 you can chose different levels of the print quality.

Thanks guys for your response.
Sean, I have everything at 100% when I save in open office, but it never looks clear for me.
Wolfi, I have tried pdf24. When I open in open office, I save it using pdf 24, but I think I am not doing it correctly.
I would love to find an open source product similar to what Adobe Suite can do, with no restrictions like some of the other open source products I have tried.

Pete, it works pretty well, thank you.
I am still having fuzziness issues. Am I missing something when I convert to pdf? I have it on 600 dpi, but how do I make the clarity 100% when I transfer over.
I have tried creating a document in Fireworks and Microsoft Word. But, when the images converts, it gets fuzzy.
