A couple of years back I opened a Google Adwords account but never actually got around to running any ads. Yesterday I decided it was time to put the account to good use, so I tried to update my credit card information (since opening the account I'd changed CC numbers) but it kept coming up with a 'card rejected' message – this is before I tried to make any payments. There are no problems with my card, I've made several purchases since this. I emailed Adwords support and a few minutes later received an automated email saying my Adwords account was under review. I then received an email from a human saying my account didn't comply with the terms and conditions and had been suspended.

By this point I was pretty confused; I read through the T&C's and saw nothing that I'd breached, especially since I hadn't even run any ads yet. I sent another email asking why I'd been suspended, and the same guy replied saying he had forwarded my response to a specialist team. Today I received another email saying the decision was final and my account would remain suspended.

So what started with my trying to give some money to Google has ended with my account being suspended.

I did a bit of searching and found the same thing has happened to others, but has anyone here encountered this and found a reason/solution?
